When it comes to teaching the Bible in its historical context, nobody has done it more successfully than Ray Vander Laan. RVL has led more than 10,000 people on teaching tours throughout Israel and his videos have been seen by millions. Grooters Productions has been a producing partner with Focus on the Family since 2003, having filmed and post-produced more than 70 episodes in the That the World May Know series.
GP film crews have traveled throughout Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Greece, and Italy to film with Ray Vander Laan in the locations where the stories of the Bible occurred. That the World May Know’s production style is very “History Channel,” featuring multiple camera crews, dramatic re-enactments, original artwork and music, and a go-anywhere attitude.
GP’s sister company Cinevee developed the digital streaming and e-commerce website, ThatTheWorldMayKnow.com for Focus on the Family. At this site every episode of That the World May Know is available for streaming or download, complete with previews, supplemental content and search tools.
GP worked with Focus on the Family to develop and release a partner product, the Ray Vander Laan Devotions iOS Mobile Application. App subscribers have access to short devotional videos filmed in Biblical locations. The app features a unique camera switching option that allows users to select from different camera angles simply by flipping their device!
